Neighborhoods

To launch Neighborhoods Now, the Urban Design Forum and Van Alen Institute connected with members of the Association for Neighborhood and Housing Development, a coalition of community organizations across New York City. Each organization identified priorities specific to their neighborhoods’ concerns and businesses, and collaborated in working groups with design firms and professionals across other disciplines to co-create solutions.

This website features individual tools, resources, and strategies created by these working groups. Detailed PDF reports from each group provide full context for each resource and greater insight into this collaborative, community-led process.
